Nielsen3: Liz 2008 Josh

It has been a great year, but it is difficult to think through the year as a timeline of events. Like a lone, shady oak tree in a field, one event managed to overshadow all others for this Nielsen family. In February, we pleasantly learned that Liz was pregnant and our perspective on things changed a little. It was time to be healthier, wiser, and more prepared for who was to come.

The next months passed quickly as we continued working, reading baby books, making some trips, being showered and gathering baby-related paraphernalia. It was soon October and we were swamped in books and baby clothes. We had a list of things yet to accomplish and acquire prior to the mid-November due date.

Our list got a little shorter the first week of November with Jake's help (along with Marcia, Warren, and Carol) as we completed our patio replacement with brick in the backyard. And not a moment to soon, as the next Thursday, William Louis was born. Some of our list wasn't complete, but William couldn't wait to join us! The timeline was thrown out and change had come!
