William is just now appreciating how fun finger painting can be.

It is one of my favorite parks when the weather is cooler. (not a lot of shade)

I have been trying to get his belly tan to even out his farmer tan.

William has been fearless on slides.

August activities

I love this picture, not too often I get this type of shot and have it turn out.

We moved down to the beach. William liked to lay on his belly and kick, like he does in the bath.




Fountain at West Glen. William was good at staying dry by walking around the fountain bubblers. We watched other kids run through.





Traveling home from Grandpa and Grandma Nielsens. Thanks for babysitting!


Josh took William to the State Fair on opening day. It may have been the hottest day yet, but they found a way to cool off.

Mmmm supper. William is such a good eater!

William is really into wearing shoes. He found these cowboy boots and would not take them off! They are a size too small and very warm for an August day, but he did not mind. Now I have them stored away so he will not be tempted.

Park near downtown Des Moines. William loved the mini Chinese sculptures, like the one he is touching in this picture.

This is in a coffee shop and William loved these big leather chairs. (and his cute frog shirt)

This is the baby wadding pool at a nearby park. William likes to watch the other kids and mostly just gets his feet wet.
